Spirulina je plavo-zelena mikroalga, za koju se pretpostavlja da je najstarija biljka na Zemlji.

Spirulina je vrlo bogata vitaminima i mikroelementima, sadrži 65% kvalitetnih bjelančevina u čijem sastavu je 18 aminokiselina od kojih su 8 esencijalne, dobar je izvor hranjivih vlakana i jak antioksidant. Spirulina je najbogatiji izvor beta karotena među cjelovitim namirnicama. Beta karoten je antioksidans od vitalne važnosti. Brojna su istraživanja pokazala da je kod ljudi, čija je prehrana bogata beta karotenom, smanjen rizik od oboljenja od raznih vrsta raka.





Izvorno je povoljno djelovanje karotena prepoznato samo kao djelovanje beta karotena na vid. Beta karoten se u jetri cijepa na polovice kako bi nastale dvije molekule vitamina A. Vitamin A u mrežnici oka spojen je na protein gdje se apsorbira svjetlo za vid. Mi ustvari vidimo uz pomoć sastojka koji je uglavnom biljnog porijekla. U kasnim 1960-ima nutricionisti su postali svjesni i antioksidantskog djelovanja beta karotena koji se u velikim količinama nalazi u spirulini, mrkvi, slatkom krumpiru i narančama kao i u mnogim drugim izvorima.

Prehrana bogata karotenima daje koži izvanrednu elastičnost i prirodan zdravi sjaj. Koža ima sloj masnoće koja ju podržava i kojoj karoteni prirodno migriraju. Tamo mogu povećati otpornost na UV zrake, štititi od štetnog utjecaja slobodnih radikala i čuvati kolagensku strukturu kože.

Jedna velika studija o vezi prehrane i napada reumatskog artritisa snažno ukazuje na vrlo veliku preventivnu moć Spiruline. Istraživači su otkrili vrlo značajan zaštitni utjecaj hrane koja sadrži beta cryptoxanthin (kriptoksantin). To je karoten koji je dominantan u Spirulini Pacifici ali ga mnoge druge namirnice bogate karotenima ne sadrže. Jedna jedanaestogodišnja studija objavljena u časopisu za epidemiologiju American Journal of Epidemiology pratila je 29 000 žena u dobi 55-69 godina. Žene koje su uzimale najveću količinu beta cryptoksanthina imale su 41% smanjeni rizik da dobiju reumatski artritis. Prema jednoj studiji za zaštitu je dovoljan jedan i pol grama Spiruline Pacifice dnevno.

Moja iskustva su jako dobra. Pila sam ju dva mjeseca, osjećala sam se vrlo dobro. U sezonu gripe, kada su svi bili bolesni, ja se nisam razboljela.

Ja sam spirulinu u prahu davala i klincima...pomiješa se u čokolino ili obično mlijeko, i potpuno popirimi taj okus - osim što sam morala objašnjavati zašto je čokolino sad odjednom ZELEN....


...ja nisam ovo tijelo..ja nisam ovaj um..

Citala sam negdje da spirulina sadrzi "krivi" B12 vitamin, koji zapravo nije B12 nego bas suprotno dovodi do manjka B12 vitamina...
Pa jos razmisljam dal poceti sa spirulinom ili ne, drugdje sam cula ok iskustva...

Spirulinu pijem već duže (prvenstveno jer sam vege) i sjajno se osjećam. Inače koristim i druge vrste algi i paše mi.

Spirulinu ne bi smjeli koristiti jedino oni koji boluju od hipertireoze jer ona ubrzava rad štitnjače zbog visokog postotka joda (pretpostavljam da je zato).

Paranoik, ne bilo ti teško - potraži izvor informacije pa stavi sve s objašnjenjem da i mi nešto naučimo ako treba.

Koje hranjive tvari sadrži ova alga i kako djeluje na naše zdravlje?



Spirulina je vrlo bogata bjelančevinama, u 100 g spirulininog praška ima 60-70 g bjelančevina, što je tri puta više nego u istoj količini svinjetine i 2 puta više nego u govedini ili ribi, a za 50% više nego u soji. Ljudski organizam vrlo lako apsorbira bjelančevinu spiruline, koefi cijent apsorbiranja doseže 65-80%, a primjerice bjelančevine sojinog zrna apsorbiraju se samo 40%.

Osim toga, spirulina sadrži 18 aminokiselina koje su prijeko potrebne čovjeku, a 8 od njih su esencijalne što znači da ih ljudski organizam ne može sintetizirati. Spirulina sadrži mnoštvo neophodnih minerala i mikroelemenata, među kojima su željezo, kalcij, natrij, kalij, bakar, magnezij, mangan, cink, fosfor, selen, zatim vitamine B skupine (osim vitamina B12), vitamine C, D i E, beta karoten, linolnu i alfa-linolensku kiselinu, klorofi l i druge aktivne tvari.


Bjelančevinu spiruline ljudski organizam vrlo lako apsorbira, koeficijent apsorpcije dostiže 65 - 80%, a primjerice bjelančevinu sojinog zrna organizam apsorbira samo 40%.

Spirulina obiluje željezom. U 10 grama praha spiruline postoji količina željeza koja odgovara 450 g kiselice ili 320 g jetre.

Među spirulinama postoje srodne vodene alge koje sadrže polisaharide. One pomažu u obnavljanju stanica, uništenih radijacijom, potiču proces razmnožavanja stanica koštane srži, poboljšavaju imunitet ljudi specifičnih profesija. Koristeći proizvode od spiruline može se poboljšati opće stanje organizma i obogatiti asortiman živežnih namirnica.

Spirulina ima mnogo alfa-linolenske kiseline. To je tvar koja ubrzava stvaranje prostaglandina i zato može regulirati krvni tlak, doprinosi razmnožavanju stanica, može spriječiti i izliječiti raznorazne upalne procese te kardiološka oboljenja i šećernu bolest. U jednom znanstvenom izvješću, japanski su znanstvenici naveli da se u dijabetičara u poodmaklom stadiju, poslije uzimanja spiruline, tijekom 8 tjedana, razina šećera spustila do stupnja šećera koji imaju pacijenti s lakšom šećernom bolešću. U tome izvješću je također bilo navedeno da u Japanu mnogo ljudi uzima spirulinu, 45% od njih čine to radi liječenja raznih bolesti, a 25% ljudi na taj način liječe šećernu bolest. Klinički nalazi potvrđuju da se uzimanjem spiruline može postići neobično uspješan efekt kod šećerne bolesti.

Enzimi i drugi aktivni sastojci spiruline omogućuju ubrzavanje saniranje rana i izmjenu tvari kože te sprječavaju keratinizaciju (orožnjavanje) kože.

U 100 g praška spiruline ima 50 mg s-karotena. Ta se tvar može pretvoriti u vitamin A, što sprječava takve tegobe kao što je noćno slijepilo. Vitamin A, također, pospješuje sustav za rast i razmnožavanje. Defi cit vitamina A dovodi do pojave grube kože, skleroze rožnice i keratoze usnica.

Spirulina sadrži određenu količinu sumporno - kiselog cefalotina i glukolipida. Medicinski stručnjaci smatraju da te tvari mogu služiti kao antigeni u borbi s AIDS-om.

Spirulina može sniziti razinu kolesterola i triglicerida te zato može preventivno djelovati i pomoći kod skleroze aorte kod koronarne bolesti srca, ali i usporiti proces starenja, te obnoviti izgubljenu aktivnost kolinesteraze i postići održavanje normalne

A common misconception in vegan circles is that fermented foods and spirulina contain B-12. This claim may, at times, be supported by lab tests for B-12 based on the USP (U.S. Pharmacopeia) assay methods. Unfortunately, as explained in Herbert et al. [1984] and Herbert [1988], the USP assay method for B-12 is unreliable. The assay measures total corrinoids--that is, true B-12 plus analogues (forms of B-12 that are not metabolically active in the body)--and the analogues have the potential to block the absorption of true B-12 by occupying B-12 receptor sites. A preferred, reliable test that can differentiate between true B-12 and corrinoids is provided by differential radioassay. The assay problem must be considered in evaluating "old" studies on B-12.
Spirulina and tempeh contain mostly analogues of B-12. Herbert [1988] reports that tests on tempeh, a fermented soy product, and spirulina revealed that they contained almost no true B-12, i.e., the "B-12" they contained (per USP assay test) was predominantly analogues. Herbert [1988, p. 857] reports:
We suspect that people taking spirulina as a source of vitamin B-12 may get vitamin B-12 deficiency quicker because the analogues in the product block human mammalian cell metabolism in culture [i.e., in the lab] and we suspect that they will also do this in the living human.
The presence of analogues, rather than true B-12, in fermented foods makes them unreliable sources for B-12."

"zelio bih dati i drugačiji pogled na upotrebu Spiruline i Zelene Magme.
Pro?li mjesec je u Makronovi u Zagrebu gostovao Danny Waxman, američki makrobiotički savjetnik, jedan iz prve generacije Kushijevih učenika. Dr?ao je seminar, i na kraju seminara odgovarao na pitanja. Na direktna pitanja dao je direktne odgovore. Evo njegovog mi?ljenja :

PITANJE: Da li preporučujete Zelenu magmu ljudima sa oboljelom jetrom ? → ODGOVOR: Ne.

PITANJE: Da li uopće preporučujete Zelenu magmu oboljelima ? → ODGOVOR: Djelovanje zelene magme nije predvidljivo. Gledajte, ja sam po prirodi oprezan čovjek pogotovo kada su u pitanju ozbiljna oboljenja. Poznato je da je u nekim slučajevima kod ozbiljnih oboljenja zelena magma pomogla u izlječenju ali i slučajevi kod kojih je Zelena magma ozbiljno pogor?ala situaciju stanja bolesti i zato ju ja ne preporučujem.

Doduse, ne hranim se makrobioticki, ali dalo mi je ovo misliti... Mozda je rjesenje u umjerenosti... male kolicine Spiruline i to poglavito za nevegetarijance (jer oni imaju izvor B12 pa valjda nije jako opasno ako im spirulina otme dio)
