Svi smo čuli da je bijeli šećer loš za naše zdravlje. Konvencionalna i alternativna medicina se slažu sa tim, da bijeli šećer…

  • je izvor praznih kalorija (ne sadrži minerale i vitamine, ali bogat je kalorijama)
  • potiče debljanje
  • uzrokuje karijes
  • ima visoki glikemični indeks (naglo podiže razinu šećera u krvi)
Alternativna medicina ide dalje i povezuje konzumaciju bijelog šećera sa mnogim drugim bolestima i zdravstvenim problemima. Vjeruje se da bijeli šećer…
  • ekstremno oslabljuje imuni sistem
  • uzrokuje hiperaktivnost kod djece
  • povećava rizik oboljenja od raka
  • crpi iz tijela B vitamine
  • izaziva ovisnost (pretpostavlja se da je čak 95% stanovništva ovisno o slatkišima, odnosno, o šećeru)
  • crpi iz tijela mnoge neophodne minerali (kalcij, magnezij i druge)
  • uzrokuje šećernu bolest, jednu od najčešćih smrtnih bolesti u svijetu
  • uzrokuje pretilost i srčane bolesti

Kako smanjiti količinu šećera u prehrani?

  • umjesto gaziranih napitaka i sokova pijte vodu
  • smanjite konzumaciju slatkiša
  • umjesto dvije žličice šećera, koje stavite u čaj ili kavu, dodajte jednu
  • odaberite jedan dan u tjednu (na primjer, nedjelju) da si dopustite konzumiranje čokolade, kolača i gaziranih napitaka
  • ostale dane u tjednu izbjegavajte ove namirnice

Sada prevladava misljenje da nije nista bolji, pogotovo zato sto je cesto smeđi šećer samo obojeni bijeli secer. Medjutim, vjerujem da je onaj jako tamni, vlazni secer malo zdraviji od bijelog.

Ovo je upitno. Gledala sam BBC-jev dokumentarac u kojem su istrazivali je li istina da secer uzrokuje hiperaktivnost (ne ADHD) i pokazalo se da ne. Skupina djece koja je jela secer na rodjendanu je bila umorna i troma (logicno, s obzirom na djelovanje inzulina), a oni koji su jeli voce i zdravu hranu su bili hiperaktivni (tj. zaigrani, imali su energije).
Neke teorije govore da ADHD uzrokuju umjetne boje iz slatkisa, a ne secer.

To je u večini slučajeva isto....možda je "smeđi" šečer opasniji od bijelog...ko zna kakvom je to bojom farbanom.....


Kako uopče prepoznat smeđi šečer...tj. kako razlikovati smeđi šečer od "smeđeg šečera"(pofarbanog)?

obicno je sakriven negdje i nije onaj u plasticnoj vrecici nego u papirnatoj zutoj kockastoj

Zadani Bijeli šećer-bijela smrt

Smeđi, bijeli- isti otrov!! Evo ja sam testirala neke teorije o šećeru na sebi. Inače sam veeeliki ljubitelj slatkiša- čokolada, kolači, keksi... što slađe to bolje. Nekada mi je bila norma jedna Milka dnevno ( plus šta još dođe od slatkoga pod ruku ) , dok nisam shvatila da ugrožavam zdravlje i da moram prestati! Tek kada sam teškom mukom uspjela očistiti tijelo od toga otrova, shvatila sam da su sve te priče o štetnosti za mene doista bile istina. Dok sam jela čokolade i ostale slatkiše, imala sam puno manje energije, bila sam tromija, usporenija... i što mi je bilo najteže priznati- doista sam bila ovisna! Jednostavno sam proživljavala kao apstinencijske krize kada mi je "trebalo" nešto slatko a borila sam se sama sa sobom da ne pojedem. Imala sam epizode nervoznih ispada, sanjala torte i druge slastice, a jedva da bi živ ostao onaj koji mi je još i nudio nešto od slatkiša. Evo, ja doista vjerujem da šećer stvara neku vrstu ovisnosti i da to nisu samo pričice, ali to shvatite tek kada ga se odreknete. I skužila sam kada pokleknem- jer osobno mi je jako teško odvojit se od te slatke napasti- kao da tijelo traži da stalno povećavate količinu šećera koju unosite u organizam. i još nešto- provjereno povećava celulit!!


Lakši put je uvijek miniran!

Ako ih promatramo samo kao zaslađivače ( By the way ,med ima još puuno aspekata sa kojih se može promatrati ) oboje sadrže glukozu i fruktozu, no što se šećera tiče ,u toku njegove proizvodnje, organske kiseline proteina ,enzimi i vitamini iz šećerne trske su uništeni dok je sa medom jedna sasvim druga priča.

Sem toga, med sadržava mnogo antioksidansa i antimikrobnih sadržaja kojih apsolutno nisu prisutni u šećeru.

Nemalene su prednosti zbog kojih će se čovijek osjećati dobro ako papa med.

Jedna žličica šećera sadrži 46 kalorija, a jedna žličica meda 64.
Iako med sadrži više kalorija ,puno je slađi od šećera te ga treba poprilično manje da bi nešto zasladili. No, koristeći med duži period unositi ćemo manje kalorija u sebe i puuno više antioksidansa kojih u šećeru nema.

Šećer je saharoza, napravljena od dvije povezane molekule. Kada jedemo šećer, naš želudac koristi svoje enzime da bi razdvojio te molekule prije nego što naše tijelo uzme energiju iz šećera. Med je poprilično drugačiji. Pčele su dodale poseban enzim u nektar koji razdvaja saharozu, glukozu i fruktozu, pa naše tijelo to upija izravno.

Za razliku od meda, šećeru nedostaju minerali i vitamini. U šećeru se nalaze takozvane prazne kalorije koje utječu na pretilost i razne bolesti.

O okusu da i ne govorim...

Već duži period moj suprug i ja pijemo naše kavice zaslađene sa medom...isprva je bilo malo neobično, no sada niti ne pomišljamo na nešto drugo...

Pametni čika Steiner napisao je puno toga o medu...no o tomu nekom drgom zgodom...
