Najprodavanija biljka protiv menopauze
Trenutno je crni kohoš najprodavaniji dijetalni suplement u SAD-u za olakšanje neugodnih simptoma povezanih s menopauzom. Crni kohoš utječe na endokrini regulatorni sustav, koji blago utječe na endogene estrogene i djeluje poput estradiola kojemu se pripisuje djelovanje protiv raka dojke, jajnika i endometrija . U kratkom trajanju, biljne komponente vežu se s receptorima estrogena i pokazuju svoj učinak na vagini.
U prijevodu žene ga masovno koriste jer pomaže kod:
- glavobolja,
- valunga,
- promjena raspoloženja,
- problema sa spavanjem,
- srčanih palpitacija,
- noćnog znojenja,
- suhoće vagine.
Povijest crnog kohoša
Crni kohoš ili black cohosh, lat. Cimicifuga racemosa, je biljka koja raste u Sjevernoj Americi. Američki domoroci koristili su korijen crnog kohoša za redovitu menstruaciju, olakšanje reumatskih boli, opću malaksalost, prehlade, kašalj, umor i zatvor. Tradicionalno su ga upotrebljavale žene s neredovitom menstruacijom i za poticanje proizvodnje mlijeka. Zbog njegove učinkovitosti prisvojili su ga rani doseljenici i herbalisti. 1840-ih godina postao je omiljen kod eklektičnih liječnika koji su ga koristili za mnoge simptome, posebno za reumatske bolove i reumu. Samo ime kohoš dolazi od indijanskog jezika Algonquin i znači „grub“ što se odnosi na korijen biljke.
Ljekovitost crnog kohoša
Fitokemijski spojevi u crnom kohošu uključuju triterpen glikozid, actein (hipotenzivni vazodilator), cimigosid, formononetin, oleinsku, palmitinsku i slacilnu kiselinu, cimigonit, tanin i halapljiva ulja. Prirodno prisutne komponente u crnom kohošu posjeduju širok spektar djelovanja, uključujući:
- estrogenično,
- protukancerogeno,
- hipotenzivno,
- periferalno vazodilatatorno,
- analgetsko,
- antiupalno,
- antioksidativno,
- protuanksiozno,
- antispazmodičko.
Moderna klinička istraživanja studirala su terapeutsku učinkovitost i sigurnost ekstrakta crnog kohoša za djelovanja na neurovegetativne simptome uzrokovane menopauzom i mnoge od njih potvrdila da je siguran i učinkovit.
U studiji su 704 ispitanice uzimale 250 mg ekstrakta crnog kohoša na dan. 49% njih je prijavilo da su osjetile potpuno olakšanje od tegoba menopauze. 37,8% prijavilo je djelomično olakšanje, a prema ispitivačima 72% ispitanica bilo je u boljem stanju, nego one koje su uzimale hormonalnu terapiju.
U drugoj studiji na 694 ispitanice, između 70-93 % njih osjetilo je potpuno olakšanje uz uzimanje 250 mg ekstrakta crnog kohoša 2 puta na dan.
Ekstrakt crnog kohoša dobar je i za žene koje su imale histerektomiju.
U studiji iz 2005. promatran je učinak crnog kohoša i konjugiranih estrogena na koštane markere. Pokazano je da je ona imala učinak ekvivalentan konjugiranim estrogenima na poboljšanje simptoma menopauze i koštanih markera u odnosu na placebo skupinu. Što upućuje da pomaže protiv osteoporoze.
Mnogo je istraživanja s crnim kohošom provedeno u Njemačkoj od 1940. Tijekom istraživanja crnog kohoša nisu zabilježene posebne nuspojaveuzimanja ove biljke. Njemačka komisija E objavila je da crni kohoš posjeduje djelovanje poput estrogena, potiskuje luteinizirani hormon i veže se za receptore estrogena. Odobrila je dozu od 40 mg/dan, tijekom 6 mjeseci.
World Health Organisation također je prepoznala tu biljku kao vrijednu pomoć tijekom menopauze u regulaciji naleta vrućine, znojenja, poremećaja spavanja i nervne iritabilnosti.

Doziranje
Preporučene dnevne doze za simptome menopauze iznose oko 120-500 mg na dan.
U obliku tinkture sa 60-postotnim etanolom uzimati 0.4-2 ml jednom na dan.
Za povećanje gustoće kostiju kod žena u postmenopauzi uzimati 40 mg dnevno tijekom 3 mjeseca.
Za srčane bolesnice u postemenopauzi preporučuje se ista doza, zatim napraviti pauzu od 3 mjeseca i ponoviti 3 mjeseca.
Za neplodnost uzimati 120 mg crnog kohoša 12-13 dana.
- Pacijenti bi trebali prestati uzimati Cimicifugae racemosae rhizoma i odmah se savjetovati s liječnikom ukoliko razviju znakove i simptome umora, gubitka apetita, žute kože i bjeloočnica, jaku bol u gornjem dijelu trbuha s mučninom i povraćanjem ili tamni urin.
Crni kohoš ne preporučuje se
- trudnicama
- djeci
- ljudima s jetrenim bolestima, ugrušcima ili epileptičarima
- alergičnima na aspirin.

A "tegoms" mogu trajati i 5-10 godina, što je individualno.


Ja sam se relativno brzo oporavila jer sam intenzivno radila na tome - važno je dosta se kretati na svježem zraku, pravilna suplementacija vitaminima i mineralima, izbjegavanje kave, alkohola, slatkog i svakako stresa.
