Joga Nidra je drevna tehnika dubokog opuštanja, koja pomaže otklanjanju napetosti, straha, stresa, nesanice i psihičkih tegoba, pospješuje koncentraciju, razvija memoriju i snagu volje. Od velike je pomoći za učenike i studente jer razvija sposobnost učenja. Za duhovne aspirante ona je put ka samospoznaji.
Jogu Nidru može svako odmah da radi, nije potrebno čekati da se postigne određeni stepen u razvoju. Samo, mora se znati da Joga Nidra zahtijeva kontinuirano vježbanje, da se uspjeh ne postiže preko noći. Neka niko ne očekuje da će za nekoliko dana ili neđelja postići spektakularne uspjehe. Napredovanje je, ako se ispravno radi, postepeno i sigurno. Inače, Joga Nidra se radi u ležećem položaju i traje oko 40 minuta.

Radila sam yog nidru u okviru yoge u svakodnevnom životu.Najbolje je(čitaj:najkomotnije)raditi ju uz osobu koja te vodi,pogotovo za početnike.Ne mislim da je nešto opasno pa da ne smiješ to sam,već je puno lakše slušati i pratiti nečiji glas dok ne stekneš rutinu.

Retki su oni koji mogu sami da rade joga nidru. Ja radim jogu skoro dve godine, ali dosta intenzivno, i zanimljivo mi je da sam na pocetku u joga nidri naravno redovno zaspala, pa onda nedavno nekoliko meseci bas nijednom, i tu se setim da mi je ucitelj rekao da kad mnogo uznapredujes onda ne zaspis, i sad od pre mesec dana opet vrlo cesto zaspim, mislim da je sad opet na redu nesto na cemu se radi. Vrlo je neobicno i skoro svaki put drugacije. Danas sam se bas opet obrukala, i to ne da sam zaspala, nego sam se ugasila prosto, ni ono "obratimo paznju na prostor u kome se nalazimo" nije pomoglo, kad sam konacno "dosla sebi" svi se pakuju a ja leskarim... Radili smo nesto dodatno, meditaciju na 4. cakru, moracu malo izgleda da poradim na ljubavi prema svemu :)

Traje na casovima joge obicno desetak minuta, ako neki ucitelj ne resi da casti malo duze, a kad se posebno radi onda obicno 40-tak minuta. Kazu da pola sata nidre vredi kao dva sata spavanja, u smislu da se toliko odmoris.

Ja joga nidru radim preko petnaest godina, i radim je bez vođstva. U početku, godinu dvije, radio sam je uz vođstvo, a onda bez. Ona je tek onda prava, kad toliko uđe u podsvijest da ne treba nikakvo mentalno vođstvo ili menatalni napor (ma koliko neznatan bio) da se prate riječi koje vode, već ide sama od sebe. Tek tada se u pravom smislu uživa u njoj i donosi dobrobiti koje njenim vježbanjem dolaze. Mada se preporučuje s vremena na vrijeme je i tada uraditi uz vođstvo. Inače, ona obično traje od 20 do 40 minuta. Vjerovatno je radite uz druge vježbe pa je zato u tako kratkoj verziji.

Da, smatra se da pola sata joga nidre zamjenjuje dva-tri sata spavanja.

Radiš li je po nekom sistemu, u nekoj školi joge?

Anand, tako sam i ja shvatila da mozes i sam kad si napredan, ali ja mislim da je meni jos dug put do tog nivoa. Radimo najceste tako kratke verzije u sklopu casa odnosno na kraju casa, a retko imam priliku da idem na duze verzije od pola sata i duze, to je kad se organizuje poseban program pa se rade pranayame i meditacije, ali to retko imam priliku da idem, odn. retko nadjem da se organizuje. Imam snimljeni CD sa pola sata nidre, i to mi isto ok, ali drugacije mi je ipak uzivo na casu, druga je energija.
Ne znam za sistem, znam da je hatha joga, donekle prilagodjena, jedne skole u Bg, a znam da nije Biharska skola jer sam isla na neke casove meditacije po tom sistemu. Hm, ne znam da li sam ti odgovorila na pitanje. Ne stojim bas najbolje s teorijom.
